It bears the name of one of the oldest Italian native vines. It is thought that it dates back to the first century. B.C. and that this grape was the basis of the most famous wine of antiquity, namely Falerno. The term probably derives from the so-called “phalanxes”, wooden boards that were used to pull the boats dry or braces, poles, inserted into the ground to support the elongated phalanx-shaped vine of the fingers.
It is one of the most loved Italian white wines. Typically summery for its characteristics of freshness, sweetness and ease of drinking.
The Falanghina of Sertura has a straw yellow color with slight green reflections. On the nose aromas of peach and green apple prevail. There are also floral notes that recall the flowers of the broom and the orange flowers. On the palate it is dry and fresh with a slight acidity, but it is also firm and sweet.
