Talking about Aglianicomeans referring to the most illustrious and important red grape of Southern Italy. From ancient origins, it generates a very structured wine characterised by longevity and consistency even if drunk after many years. It is precisely with the passage of time, in fact, that it expresses all of thecharacteristics and emphasises the distinctive properties and uniquescents.

Aglianico, wide spread in its territorial variants mainly in Campania and Basilicata, prefers volcanic soils and finds its maximum expression in Irpinia with the production of Aglianico DOCand there now evolution, Taurasi DOCG. Excellent acidity and great tannins are the characterising elements of Aglianico DOC, a young and fruity wine, with a strong character and intense flavour.

Sertura produces Aglianico DOC in compliance with a pure vinification, implementing a maceration and fermentation at a controlled temperature of 22-25 °. The average duration of the fermentation phase is between 21 and 25 days. The result is a wine with a brilliant ruby color, with marked notes of red fruit on the nose and enveloping on the palate, with a mineral and earthy finish. Perfect for pairingwith the typical products of the Irpinia area, examples being mushrooms, truffles, and with red meat dishes.
